Powerboat Handling Level 2

This two-day entry-level course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the international certificate of competence (ICC).
The course focuses on low speed, close-quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed and collision regulations. The course can be taken at inland or coastal locations.

Pre Course Requirements

There are no pre-course requirements for this course as it is designed for beginners wishing to progress to Powerboat Level 2 often necessary to work within the superyacht industry. The minimum age for this course is 12 years and above.

Our advice is to pick up the RYA Powerboat Handbook and have a stress free read through so you are familiar with some of the vocabulary used on yachts.

*All motor courses will require that you are in physically good shape.
