Training under the RYA program in Montenegro for both beginners and experienced sailors.

Competent Crew

This course is for beginners and those who would like to become active crew members rather than just passengers. You will experience living on board and really get to know the boat. Virtually all the course is hands-on. You are the crew - without you, the sails won't go up and the boat won't be steered.  By the end of the course, you should be able to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy and assist in all the day to day duties on board. The course becomes a rewarding holiday visiting different areas in Marbella.

Pre Course Requirements

The RYA Competent Crew course was designed for students with little experience, therefore there are no formal course requirements.
Our advice is to pick up the RYA Competent Crew Handbook and have a stress free read through so you are familiar with some of the vocabulary used on yachts.
*All sailing courses require a certain amount of physical activity.  If you are unsure as to your ability to take part in a course please contact us to discuss.

What to Bring
